Aren practiced yoga for several years, but feels as if its been a part of her forever. After the last few years of a more dedicated practice, Aren knew it was time to ignite her passion even further and dive into YTT. After checking out many wonderful trainings around Cleveland, her intuition kept coming back to Marni Task at The Yoga Room. Many of Aren's beloved teachers trained with her, and she knew the moment she stepped into her presence and classes that Marni was whom she wanted to learn from. Aren completed her 200-hour teacher training in May 2016. The main focus of the training is based from Jivamukti yoga, which encompasses ahimsa (non-violence), bhakti (devotion), dhyana (meditation), nada (deep listening), and shastra (study of ancient yogic teachings). Woven in the nine month training was also Anusara yoga with an emphasis on safe hands on assists, themes & sequencing, optimal alignment, human antatomy (in relation to yoga), and countless hours of our own practice.

Through the practice of yoga Aren has learned that breathing with intention and moving with love for yourself can be the greatest of all healers. The yoga community is very energetic and powerful, and it never ceases to amaze her how even after one class strangers become connected. Balance & Brews brings together yogis from all over Cleveland and beyond to support each other, raise good vibrations and share a cold one in our favorite breweries. Perfection!

Aren is no stranger to amazing beers around the world and locally. After working 5+ years at Bar Cento/ Bier Markt and being a big supporter of Market Garden Brewery, she has learned more about beer than she could imagine. She has visited breweries all over the United States and loves sharing stories with folks all about the Cleveland brewery scene! There are so many great breweries here, and a beer for every season!
