Anna is passionate about yoga and everything that comes along with it! Yoga is more than a physical practice to Anna, it is a lifestyle and something that has become part of who she is. By working with Balance and Brews she hopes to inspire people who are intimidated by a traditional yoga studio to try it in a different and fun space!
After over ten years of personal practice Anna completed her 200-hour teacher training with Marni Task in the spring of 2015. Teacher training was a life changing experience for her. She is trained in Jivamukti and Anusara yoga with an emphasis on optimal alignment (hands on assists).
Anna’s positive energy is contagious! She teaches from the heart and creates a comfortable environment to make her classes approachable for students of all levels. She especially loves beginner’s because she will never forget her first class!
Off the mat Anna loves to travel, explore nature and drink beer with her friends!
A bunch of questions with | ANNA
What is your day job?
My day job is Yoga. I left the office life of 9-5 to pursue my passion to teach Yoga full time! It was the scariest and most exciting decision I've ever made. I chose happiness over a paycheck. Life is too short. DO WHAT YOU LOVE.
What lights you up?
Traveling and exploring new places in nature to witness its beauty. My goal is to visit as many national parks as I can. Every time I go to a new one it is a new experience that leaves me speechless and can't be captured through a picture. My last adventure was to Oregon and Washington State! I crave experiencing new places like these because they inspire me.
A favorite tv show?
I'm not a huge fan of TV but the last show I watched that I absolutely loved was Transparent. I am also obsessed with anything about Tiny Houses.
A favorite local spot?
LUXE Kitchen and Lounge
What do you love about Balance & Brews?
It's genius; the combination of two of my favorite things! I also believe it makes yoga more approachable to people who are interested but intimidated to go to a studio. It's sooo good for our city to get people out and about experiencing the city and supporting these local breweries.
What's a dream vacation spot?
A cabin in the woods with a view of snow capped mountains in the distance and probably a body of water in sight too! There might also be a hammock involved. :)
