Teaching with Balance & Brews allows Alyssa the opportunity to bring two of her greatest passions together. When she is not on her yoga mat, she can be found brewing beer at home or sampling a variety of craft beers. Her taste in beer is as broad as her love of different styles of yoga.

Alyssa is inspired by her students and hopes that they walk away from class feeling that same inspiration. Her teaching style encourages introspection, a willingness to try something new, and lots of laughter! She is driven by the philosophy to work hard and play harder!

Alyssa earned her 200 hour yoga certification through Awaken Yoga School in 2012 and continued with the certification process by completing her 300 hour certification in 2014. She has been a fitness instructor since 2008 in a variety of styles including cycling, pilates, and boot camp. While passionate about various forms of yoga, she currently teaches Deep Stretch and Hatha yoga classes.  Alyssa's yoga studio schedule can be found HERE.

What is your day job? 

I Work in Human Resources and Leadership Development.

What lights you up?

I love trying something new, experiencing growth and taking risks. As an instructor, I enjoy inspiring class participants to try something different or look at things from a different perspective. 

A favorite tv show?

I could watch Big Bang Theory nonstop.

A favorite local spot?

Hanging out with friends at each others houses with a variety of craft beers to sample.

What do you love about Balance & Brews?

The best part of B&B is the community among the participants, the B&B crew, and the breweries we work with. There is always a fun vibe and lots of laughs.

What's a dream vacation spot?

Anywhere that there is yoga, baseball and beer!
